spotless mind

I sifted my mind

and all that is left is the

 

dark.

 

I don’t know

what to do with

it.

 

There are memories that

scar brain tissue

vice grip the frontal lobe

memories of

us

memories of

you

 

pieces I couldn’t replace

 

pieces of me I couldn’t rid before

because those pieces were still me

no matter how dark

and scarring

and gripping

in the end

they were still

pieces of me
